The Scottish artist, Gwen Fulton, creates richly detailed oil paintings. In Gwen's work imagined landscapes predominate with recurring themes of mazes and enclosed or wild gardens inhabited by a diverse, often animal population. With occasional references to Northern European art history and a preference for detail, these paintings veer towards the surreal, intentionally conveying a sense of ambiguity or the unexpected.
Gwen exhibits with Portal Painters at The London Art Fair, Islington, The Affordable Art Fairs in Battersea (spring) and in Hampstead and at The British Art Fair at the Royal College of Art.
